My name is Renee Hall. I have lived in Darley for just over 21 years. I have been involved with the Darley Junior FNC for 6yrs and have been on the committee for the last 3 years, of which my role has been the Child Safety Officer. My son plays in the U11’s and my daughter previously played netball and football for Darley. We love being part of the Darley Devils Family.
Over the years of living here, I have also been a volunteer with various organisations around town and for the past 9 years I have worked at and continue to do so as a Theatre Nurse at the BM Hospital, so there is a good chance that you may have seen me around our town. I have a great passion for helping people, therefore it is one reason why I love my role as the Child Safety Officer (CSO).
I have several qualifications and have completed courses that assist me in my role. As the saying goes “𝗜𝗧 𝗧𝗔𝗞𝗘𝗦 𝗔 𝗩𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗔𝗚𝗘 𝗧𝗢 𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗦𝗘 𝗔 𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗗”. It takes many people “the village” to provide a safe, healthy environment for children to develop, grow and flourish. The Darley Junior FNC take the responsibility of protecting and keeping our children safe very seriously. To achieve keeping our children safe it takes a collaboration of people. One of those people is the CSO.
The role of the CSO is to give parents, care givers, coaches, trainers, team managers, umpires and volunteers a known point of contact for any concerns regarding child safety. It is also a point of contact for families that may require assistance and it is also for the important people that everyone dedicates their time for, our players.
You may see me at training sessions, introducing myself to the players and letting them know what my role is and how they can contact me and if they need some support or have any concerns, regarding anything at all or even just to have a chat. Our mission at the Darley Junior FNC, is to always have a supportive and safe environment, where everyone is valued, heard, and feels safe.
If you have any concerns regarding child safety of any description regarding a child or young person within our club or need some support or resources for your own child, please do not hesitate to contact me. If you see me around our club, I would love for you to introduce yourself and have a chat. I am friendly, approachable and hold no judgement. I am always interested in your child’s wellbeing or any concerns or questions you may have. You can contact me on 0400 661 212 or email on email@example.com.
